- Axolotls have both gills and lungs
- Axolotls can regenerate their body parts
- Axolotls can camouflage
- Axolotls' DNA genome is 10 times the size of humans
- Axolotols, unlike other amphibians, never go through metamorphosis.
- Axolotls have zero teeth
